Self Portraits

One of my New Year's resolutions is to be in more photo's. A few weeks ago I was going through my files and realized I'm in NO photo's. I think I have about 2 photo's of me from 2006. SAD, I'm always the one behind the camera...never in front of the camera, so I made my resolution. And this is a great way to practice with self portraits. So my first self portraits were in the water. I was really inspired by some cool water shots that I've been seeing these past fews weeks, so I thought I would give it a shot. And I'm not being narcissistic, trust me.

I've also realized instead of experiencing life ALWAYS through the viewfinder, just to go out and experience more of life, without the camera. So another resolution. To leave my camera behind (not always, only sometimes), to join in on the fun, instead of capturing it. Which will be weird, because I've always had a camera with me since I was a freshmen in highschool. But, I'm really wanting to try with this resolution and WANT to make it work.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

I've been trying the same thing Fayln! To be the same "player" my husband is to the girls. Take a pic or two then put it down... it's hard!! :)

Falyn-
I just came across your blog when I googled Amber Ludlow's class (I just finished reading the first lesson!). I read down a little bit & it appears as though you went to UD (me, too!)! Then I thought to myself about what a small world it truly is & how so many people have so many things in common...anyway, you are amazing with your camera & your little guys are absolutely adorable! Hope to see more of your work soon!
